Are you looking for a fiery jack-o'-lantern? This pumpkin is coated and filled with color fire. I combined the green fire pumpkin and hand sanitizer fire to produce a jack-o'-lantern that is completely engulfed in flame. If you want to duplicate the effect, here's what you do: carved jack-o'-lantern hand sanitizer containing alcohol methanol (I used Heet™) boric acid, borax or copper sulfate (for the green color) long handled lighterPut some methanol in the pumpkin. Smear hand sanitizer on the outside of the pumpkin. Add extra hand sanitizer to the carved areas of the jack-o'-lantern's face. Sprinkle colorant inside the pumpkin. Either sprinkle it on the exterior of the pumpkin or else you can rub it over the surface. I added an extra splash of alcohol, just in case some fuel had evaporated. Use the long-handled lighter to ignite the pumpkin. This is an adult project. The pumpkin in the photo is sitting on my kitchen counter, but it's a better idea to perform this project outdoors on a fire-safe surface, just in case the fire spreads. While the hand sanitizer burns with a cool flame, the methanol burns very hot. Light the pumpkin from a distance to minimize the risk of getting burned.
